2. Capital Financing Technical Assistance NEW RESOURCE!
Through the BCC project, the Low Income Investment Fund provides help for people who need capital loans to finance child care facilities. If you need help preparing to access capital financing, please email the Low Income Investment Fund at capitalfinance@liifund.org.

We can help you with:

• Understanding lenders’ required documentation
• Child care loan processes
• Borrower financial readiness
• Project development processes
• Project feasibility

3. Trainings

Throughout the year we provide training workshops designed for anyone involved in the child care or early education field in California. These trainings examine the process of planning and financing child care facilities development projects. Typically, the first part of the workshops provides a primer for those who are either unfamiliar with the process of lending or are hesitant to borrow money. Then, in the second part we explore the resources available for financing acquisition, construction or renovation and ways to prepare for the development process. In all of our training workshops audience participation and interaction are essential in order to maximize the exchange of experiences, expertise and ideas. 4. Regional Meetings

Over the next year, we will hold meetings in several different regions of the state to assemble groups of people and organizations that represent various elements of the child care facilities development process.
